Hello world. Writing a blog sounds big. So big for someone who considers themselves a “non-writer”, literal-ly. But here I go, on a mission to let you into my head for a wild ride. I am a big day dreamer and I love people. Everyone has a story, a good story, because life is beautiful and we live on a special little island in the middle of the universe... we are so lucky.
So let’s start there. I’ve always had a fascination with outer space. Acknowledging how vast the universe is helps keep us humble and suppresses life’s big stressors. Also there’s gravitational pull, bending space-time, black holes, quantum physics, and a whole bunch of other wondrous stuff I entertain about but I don’t really understand.
Aside from that bazaar interest I am a mom, a licensed architect, and an ever-learning artist. I like trying new things, especially out of the ordinary. Maybe it’s the adrenaline rush or me just trying to keep my mind sharp but I am most often up for anything except for snakes. No snakes.
I should also let you know that I’ve started this blog at the crack of 4am. This is not by choice. Since my son was in utero he has been intense. I love him to the moon and back but he has ever changed my sleeping habits or lack thereof.
My shtick or motive in writing this is to not only let you into my little head (which is factually little, I fit into kids sunglasses and hats) but to let everyone know they are wonderfully creative and the world / universe is full of beauty and we should simply love each other more. I think it’s so easy to get caught up in life’s to do lists, articles with steps to a better life but ultimately have no relevance, politics, and negative energy. It’s too easy to suppress our own creative self instead of taking the plunge. Stop caring what people think and just do.
So maybe by letting you into my head you can see a perspective of quirky open-mindedness and growing fearlessness. Mind you, I do have bad days but I feel that surrounding yourself with positivity, which means sometimes having to say bye bye to those perpetual complainers, we can have minimal bad days.
Alright, so that’s it for now. Short and sweet, just like me (wink, wink). Hope you enjoy the ride.
